Gift Aid

Gift Aid allows your Methodist Church to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations by you. This means we can claim back from the government on your behalf 25p for every £1 donated, boosting the value of your donation by a quarter.

If you are able to plan financially either contact your local Church Treasurer to set up a regular Bank Transfer or put aside your collection each week until you can put it in the church offering plate. Both bank transfers and cash donations can be Gift Aided. If your finances fluctuate your money can still be put aside and included, or not, as Gift Aid, as you choose. Churches solely rely on local people for their day-to-day running costs. Thank you for all contributions.
