A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13 v34

Shirley Methodists reach out into the local community in a variety of ways.
“Shirley Neighbourhood Care” provides support to those in their own homes who are
having difficulty getting to the shops or to medical appointments. They raise funds
in various ways -
They are active in supporting residents of Hall Grange by taking weekly services, running a weekly shop, providing lifts, organising an art group and by stopping by for a chat .
Each winter the church hosts a Floating Shelter on one night each week for those who would otherwise be sleeping rough.. Shelter, food and companionship is provided..
Members and friends respond to global concerns ; through study, giving, lobbying, charitable work and through prayer. The TAKE A LOOK board stimulates discussions and prompts action.
Shirley Methodists are actively involved in many areas of social responsibility.
