A word in your ear…

The Methodist online Bible study for daily life can be found at (www.methodist.org.uk/bible). It has been made even more accessible through an audio file that can easily be downloaded onto a computer or mp3 player.

Called ‘A Word in Time’, it features a daily Bible reading, background and an explanation of the text, reflections and questions to ponder from that week’s contributor. It follows the readings in the Methodist Prayer Handbook bringing the 40,000 readers of the handbook together with online disciples in their search for daily spirituality.

School Pastors - Are you concerned about the safety on our streets, especially in the middle of the afternoon when schools end? You don't need to be a youth leader to help! Street Pastors are launching a brand new venture called School Pastors aimed at older people, especially those retired, helping the younger. Training evenings are to be held on Thursdays 25th February and 4th, 11th and 18th March, 7.00pm - 9.30pm at New Life Christian Centre, New Cairo Road. PLEASE NOTE THESE DATES AND THE TIME HAVE CHANGED ONCE AGAIN FROM THOSE PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED.

The 9th Great Book Sale - Saturday 20th March, 10.00am-4.00pm at Shirley Methodist Church. 1000’s of books at bargain prices.

Lent Lunch - at Christ Church Methodist on Sunday 21st March after morning worship. Rather than the usual Sunday roast, we shall be enjoying bread and cheese together, and making donations to Christian Aid.
